15 Best Storage Facilities in Dubai for Your Needs

Storage Facilities in Dubai

Dubai’s storage market is not one product. It splits into three service models that share the same search results but behave very differently once you sign: self-access units you visit yourself, valet storage where a company collects and retrieves your items, and warehouse-style space for business inventory. The facility that suits a Marina renter clearing a one-bedroom flat is rarely the same one that suits an e-commerce seller holding pallets in Al Quoz.

Climate control is the second dividing line. An ambient warehouse in Dubai summer can exceed 45°C, and humidity routinely climbs above 80 per cent. Furniture warps, leather cracks, paper softens and electronics corrode in that environment. A facility that publishes a temperature and humidity setpoint of 20–25°C with humidity below 55 per cent is offering something materially different from a facility that says only “air-conditioned”. Ask for the setpoints in writing before you sign.

The locations matter too. Al Quoz Industrial Areas 1 to 4 hold the densest cluster of facilities and sit within roughly 10–15 minutes of Downtown, Business Bay, Dubai Marina and Jumeirah. Dubai Investment Park and Jebel Ali serve residents and businesses further south and west, with larger footprints but longer drive times from central Dubai. The 15 facilities below are ordered by overall fit for a Dubai resident who needs a practical, verifiable storage solution, with the strongest all-round offers first and specialist or value-led options later.

The Facilities

1. Vachi Storage

Vachi is the only operator in this group that publishes a full self-storage tariff online, with every unit size priced in AED and no quote call required. That transparency makes it the easiest facility to compare against the others, and the climate specification is the strongest published standard in the market: 20–25°C, humidity below 55 per cent, and HEPA filtration on every unit rather than only on premium tiers. The trade-off is price. A 15 sq ft unit starts at AED 330 a month, which is above the entry rate at several competitors, and the per-square-foot cost rises through the size range.

The facility sits at 72 6B Street in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, with a second building at 8 5th Street in Al Quoz Industrial Area 4. Units run from 15 sq ft to 200 sq ft. Contracts start at one month with no deposit, and annual plans take 8 per cent off the monthly rate. Access is 24/7. Security includes HD CCTV, on-site patrols, alarms and access control, with additional AI-enabled cameras on the art and private-vault tiers.

  • Location: 72 6B Street, Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, and 8 5th Street, Al Quoz Industrial Area 4
  • Starting price: AED 330 per month for 15 sq ft
  • Unit range: 15–200 sq ft
  • Climate: 20–25°C, humidity below 55%, HEPA filtration
  • Access: 24/7
  • Contact: +971 52 117 9039

Prioritise Vachi if you are storing leather furniture, artwork, documents or anything else that would be damaged by humidity, and you want the climate specification stated in numbers rather than implied. It stops being the obvious choice if your budget is the binding constraint or you need a unit larger than 200 sq ft; at that point the quote-based operators become more competitive. Residents who need only a few boxes for a short period may find the entry price high relative to a locker elsewhere.

2. The Box Self Storage

The Box is the most visible storage brand in Dubai and the one with the widest geographic coverage. It operates sites in Al Quoz, JLT, Dubai Investment Park and Dubai Industrial City, which means most residents in central or western Dubai are within a short drive of one. The network effect is the main reason to choose it: if you move from JLT to DIP, you can often transfer to a closer facility without changing operator.

Units run from 12 sq ft lockers to 1,000 sq ft commercial bays, and most sites offer both climate-controlled and ambient zones. The commercial division, Store by The Box, is widely used by small businesses for inventory and document storage. Access is 24/7 at the main facilities. The transparency limitation is that quotes are required for units above 50 sq ft, so the published starting rate of AED 250 does not tell you what a mid-size unit will cost until you speak to the sales team.

  • Locations: Al Quoz, JLT, Dubai Investment Park, Dubai Industrial City
  • Starting price: AED 250 per month
  • Unit range: 12–1,000 sq ft
  • Climate: Climate-controlled and ambient zones at most sites
  • Access: 24/7 at main facilities
  • Contact: 800 843269

The Box suits residents who value a recognised brand, a facility close to home, and the option to scale from a locker to a commercial bay within one operator. It is less suitable if you want to compare exact prices across every size before contacting the company, or if you need a specialist climate specification published to Vachi’s level. The older sites are functional rather than polished, and the quote requirement adds a step that purely online operators avoid.

3. Storage Solutions UAE

Storage Solutions operates in Al Quoz, Dubai South and Sharjah, with a contract that travels across the network. That cross-emirate flexibility is the differentiator. If you are moving from Dubai to Sharjah or handling a relocation where your goods may cross borders, the ability to keep the same storage contract and inventory record is practically useful in a way that a single-site facility cannot match.

Units range from 1 m² to 500 m² with a 3 m height, and both climate-controlled and ambient zones are available. The published starting rate is AED 199 a month. Access is 24 hours. An online sizing wizard helps with unit selection, and a photo-inventory app supports remote management. The operator does not offer specialist art, supercar or private-vault tiers, so it is a general-purpose choice rather than a premium one.

  • Locations: Al Quoz, Dubai South, Sharjah
  • Starting price: AED 199 per month
  • Unit range: 1–500 m², 3 m height
  • Climate: Climate-controlled and ambient zones
  • Access: 24 hours
  • Contact: 050 428 3983

Choose Storage Solutions if your storage need is tied to a move that may cross emirates, or if you want a large unit with a straightforward sizing process. It is a weaker fit if you need museum-grade climate control for sensitive items, or if you want the simplicity of a single central Dubai location. The Al Quoz site is practical for central residents; the Dubai South and Sharjah sites add travel time but serve different catchments.

4. SafeStorage Dubai

SafeStorage does not sell a unit you visit. It sells a valet service: the company collects your boxes, photo-inventories them at a climate-controlled warehouse, and returns selected items on request within about 48 hours. The model starts at AED 99 a month, billed per box rather than per square foot. That makes it one of the cheapest entry points in Dubai for a small volume of goods, and it removes the need to drive to Al Quoz or schedule your week around a storage facility.

The climate-controlled warehouse is stated to hold 20–25°C year-round. Pickup is citywide, and the entire inventory is managed through an app. The catch is the retrieval lead time and the billing structure: per-box pricing is efficient for documents, seasonal clothing and small items, but it can outpace a fixed-unit price once you are storing bulky furniture or the full contents of an apartment. The service is also less useful if you need to visit your belongings in person, because there is no self-access unit to visit.

  • Model: Valet storage with doorstep pickup and on-request retrieval
  • Starting price: AED 99 per month, billed per box
  • Climate: 20–25°C warehouse
  • Access: Retrieval by request, typically within 48 hours
  • Coverage: Dubai-wide pickup
  • Contact: +971 50 577 3388

SafeStorage is the strongest fit for renters in furnished apartments, students, and anyone storing documents or seasonal items who does not want to visit a facility. It stops being cost-effective when your inventory includes large furniture, because the per-box model multiplies. It is also the wrong choice if you need same-day access or if you want to organise and reorganise your own unit.

5. Extra Space

Extra Space runs two Dubai facilities, one in Al Quoz and one in Dubai Production City, and combines self-storage with international moving and shipping. The Al Quoz site at Warehouse 6, Street 18, is the more central of the two and includes indoor climate-controlled car-storage bays. That makes it a practical option for expatriates who are relocating and need to store a vehicle alongside household goods, or for residents who want a storage unit and a car bay under one contract.

Climate-controlled units start at around AED 199 a month. Access is 24/7. The facility has free on-site parking and is accessible from Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, with the nearest metro station at First Abu Dhabi Bank on the Red Line. The smaller Dubai footprint relative to The Box is the main constraint: if you live in JLT or DIP, a closer Box site may be more convenient.

  • Locations: Al Quoz (Warehouse 6, Street 18) and Dubai Production City
  • Starting price: AED 199 per month
  • Climate: Climate-controlled units; indoor car-storage bays
  • Access: 24/7
  • Contact: +971 4 330 6788

Extra Space suits expatriates combining storage with an international move, and residents who need a car bay rather than only a locker. It is a reasonable central option for Al Quoz and Business Bay residents. It is less compelling if you need a very large unit, because the two-site network limits the range compared with The Box, and if you want the lowest entry price, SpaceHub and Green Sky start lower.

6. SpaceHub Self-Storage

SpaceHub is a newer, app-first operator with units in Al Quoz 1, Al Quoz 3 and Al Quoz 4. The entire process runs through the mobile app: registration, payment, digital access and unit management. Units start at 1 m³ and extend to 16 m², with a starting price of AED 175 a month. The facilities are held at a stable 24–25°C with air conditioning running continuously, and the Al Quoz 3 compound is guarded by Belhasa Security 24/7.

The access model is self-access with electronic entry, and the app lets you share access with family or trusted people. There is no standard free pickup, so you arrange your own transport. The operator does not provide insurance, but you are free to insure the contents yourself. SpaceHub is one of the more affordable climate-controlled options for a small unit, and the app flow is cleaner than the quote-and-callback process at some larger operators.

  • Locations: Al Quoz 1 (Warehouse S18-B3), Al Quoz 3 and Al Quoz 4 (Warehouse 08, 32 26th Street)
  • Starting price: AED 175 per month
  • Unit range: 1 m³ to 16 m²
  • Climate: 24–25°C, air conditioning 24/7
  • Access: 24/7, electronic access
  • Contact: via the SpaceHub app or support@spacehubstore.com

SpaceHub is the best fit for renters who are comfortable managing everything through an app and want a low-cost climate-controlled unit in Al Quoz. It is a weaker choice if you need free pickup, because that is not part of the standard contract, or if you want a staffed reception to handle queries in person. The multiple Al Quoz locations mean you should confirm which warehouse your unit is in before arranging transport.

7. 800 Storage Dubai

800 Storage has operated in Dubai since 2006 and runs three sites: Al Quoz, Dubai Investment Park and Jebel Ali. The Al Quoz site is at No. 90 Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum Warehouses, about five minutes from Mall of the Emirates. The operator offers both climate-controlled and ambient zones, self-storage rates from AED 240 a month, and free insurance worth up to AED 10,000 coverage on qualifying plans. That insurance inclusion is unusual at the budget end of the market and worth factoring into the total cost.

The company also runs an e-commerce fulfilment division with pick-pack-ship services, which makes it a natural fit for small online sellers who need storage and order fulfilment from one provider. Security includes 24-hour surveillance, and the operator offers a pickup and delivery service. The older facilities are less polished than the newer Al Quoz entrants, but the longevity is a practical signal in a market where small storage brands appear and disappear quickly.

  • Locations: Al Quoz, Dubai Investment Park, Jebel Ali
  • Starting price: AED 240 per month
  • Climate: Climate-controlled and ambient zones
  • Access: 24-hour surveillance; confirm access hours with the site
  • Insurance: Free cover up to AED 10,000 on qualifying plans
  • Contact: 04 807 3007

800 Storage suits small businesses that need inventory storage plus fulfilment, and residents who want a central Al Quoz location with an insurance bundle. It is less suitable if you need a highly polished facility or a fully published price list for every size. The DIP and Jebel Ali sites serve southern Dubai well; the Al Quoz site is the more convenient choice for central residents.

8. Easytruck Storage

Easytruck combines a moving fleet with self-storage facilities in Al Quoz and Dubai Investment Park. The storage product includes mobile pods, mini pods, self-storage and business storage, and the company can handle packing, storage and unpacking as one job. Entry pricing starts at AED 199 a month. The main advantage is the bundle: if you are moving between apartments, one provider handles both legs and you avoid the coordination problem of a mover and a separate storage operator.

The mobile-pod option is useful when you need storage at your home rather than at a facility, or when access to a warehouse is impractical during a move. The trade-off is that a bundled moving-and-storage contract is harder to compare line by line against a pure storage rate, and the facility network is smaller than The Box or 800 Storage.

  • Locations: Al Quoz and Dubai Investment Park
  • Starting price: AED 199 per month
  • Options: Mobile pods, mini pods, self-storage, business storage
  • Bundle: Moving, packing and storage through one provider
  • Contact: 052 117 9039

Easytruck is the strongest fit for residents who are moving and want one company to handle both the move and the storage. It is a weaker fit if you already have transport arranged and want the lowest standalone storage rate, or if you need a facility in JLT or DIP specifically. The bundle is convenient, but it is worth asking for the storage and moving components to be priced separately so you can see what you are paying for each.

9. Storall Storage

Storall operates a self-storage facility in Al Quoz Industrial 3 and a larger 3PL warehouse in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 2. The Al Quoz facility is the relevant one for most residents. It offers strict 24/7 biometric self-entry, meaning access does not depend on staff being present, and climate control runs across every unit. Rates start at around AED 230 a month. Pickup is not part of the standard contract.

The biometric access is the distinguishing feature. If you need to retrieve items at unusual hours or you work shifts that make staffed hours impractical, a facility that guarantees self-entry at any time is more useful than one that advertises 24/7 but requires a guard to open the gate. The trade-off is that the Al Quoz site is a single facility rather than a network, and the Jebel Ali site is oriented toward business logistics rather than household storage.

  • Location: Al Quoz Industrial 3 (self-storage); Jebel Ali Industrial Area 2 (3PL)
  • Starting price: AED 230 per month
  • Climate: Climate-controlled across all units
  • Access: 24/7 biometric self-entry
  • Contact: 04 880 3644

Storall suits residents who need genuine round-the-clock access without staff dependency, and who are storing in Al Quoz. It is less suitable if you need free pickup or a multi-site network, and the Jebel Ali facility is not a substitute for a central self-storage unit. Confirm which site your contract covers before booking.

10. Self Store Dubai

Self Store Dubai was established in 2001 and describes itself as the first purpose-built self-storage facility in Dubai. It is at Street 20b in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, a few minutes from Mall of the Emirates and the residential areas of Emirates Living, Barsha, Dubai Marina, The Greens and Jumeirah. Units range from 10 sq ft lockers to 800 sq ft open units, on ground and mezzanine levels. Access is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The facility uses individual private units rather than caged or open storage, which is a meaningful privacy difference if you are storing business documents or personal items you do not want visible to other renters. Cooling fans and extractors run throughout the warehouse, but the operator does not publish a temperature and humidity setpoint, so it is not equivalent to a fully specified climate-controlled facility. There is a live-in warehouse supervisor and 24-hour on-site security.

  • Location: Street 20b, Al Quoz Industrial Area 3
  • Unit range: 10–800 sq ft
  • Climate: Cooling fans and extractors; no published setpoints
  • Access: 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Contact: 04 341 3516

Self Store Dubai is a strong fit if you want a private unit, a wide size range and genuine 24/7 access in central Al Quoz, and you do not need a documented humidity specification. It is a weaker choice for leather, artwork or sensitive electronics unless you can verify the actual conditions. Pricing is quoted on request rather than published, so ask for the total monthly cost including any climate or access surcharges.

11. Urban Storage

Urban Storage operates from Warehouse S8 in Al Quoz Industrial Area 1, with units starting at 20 sq ft. The facility is climate-controlled and uses 24/7 CCTV with access control. It offers home storage, business storage, document storage, furniture storage and vehicle storage. The 20 sq ft unit is aimed at students, expats relocating, small businesses storing files or samples, and homeowners decluttering during a renovation.

The operator does not publish a full tariff online, so pricing is quoted on request. The main advantage is the central Al Quoz 1 location and the breadth of storage types under one roof. The main limitation is the lack of published climate setpoints and pricing, which makes it harder to compare against Vachi or SpaceHub without a conversation.

  • Location: Warehouse S8, Al Quoz Industrial Area 1
  • Unit range: From 20 sq ft
  • Climate: Climate-controlled
  • Access: 24/7 CCTV and access control
  • Contact: +971 50 966 9092

Urban Storage suits residents who want a central Al Quoz 1 location and a straightforward 20 sq ft unit for a small volume of goods. It is a reasonable choice for a short-term declutter or a student storage need. It is less suitable if you want to compare exact prices before calling, or if you need a documented humidity specification for sensitive items.

12. Purplebox

Purplebox operates from Unit 12, ABA Avenue, Al Quoz Industrial Area 2. It offers climate-controlled self-storage with small units from 10–35 sq ft starting at AED 480 a month, medium units of 50–75 sq ft from AED 1,080, and large units of 100–200 sq ft from AED 1,760. Custom sizes are available for larger villa moves and commercial inventory. The facility has a loading bay that takes any vehicle size, freight elevators, free dollies, and 24/7 video surveillance.

The access hours are the important limitation. Gate access is daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm, with Sunday hours of 10:00am to 5:00pm. That is narrower than the 24/7 access offered by most Al Quoz competitors, and it rules out late-evening or early-morning retrieval. The pricing is transparent by size band, and the climate control is stated, but the restricted hours mean Purplebox is better suited to storage you do not need to visit outside standard daytime hours.

  • Location: Unit 12, ABA Avenue, Al Quoz Industrial Area 2
  • Starting price: AED 480 per month for 10–35 sq ft
  • Unit range: 10–200 sq ft, plus custom sizes
  • Climate: Climate-controlled
  • Access: Daily 9:00am–6:00pm; Sunday 10:00am–5:00pm
  • Contact: +971 54 224 9946

Purplebox is a good fit if you want a climate-controlled unit with a loading bay and freight elevator, and your schedule allows daytime access. It is a poor fit if you need 24/7 access, because the gate hours are strictly limited. The entry price is higher than SpaceHub or Green Sky, so it is not the value option; the trade-off is the loading infrastructure and the Al Quoz 2 location.

13. Green Sky

Green Sky operates nine sites across Al Qusais, Umm Ramool, Ras Al Khor and Al Quoz, with a published price ladder that starts at AED 150 a month for an 11 sq ft locker and rises to AED 3,500 for a 300 sq ft hall. The pricing is transparent, there is no deposit, and every size from locker to hall is listed. Access is Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 6:00pm, with Sunday closed. Most rooms are not air-conditioned; a few are climate-controlled, and you need to ask which ones are available at no extra cost.

The value proposition is the low entry price and the broad site network across east and central Dubai. The trade-offs are the restricted access hours, the Sunday closure, and the fact that the default storage environment is ambient rather than climate-controlled. For weather-tolerant goods such as plastic containers, tools or seasonal items that are not sensitive to heat, the lower price is a legitimate saving. For furniture, leather or electronics, the ambient default is a risk.

  • Locations: Al Qusais, Umm Ramool, Ras Al Khor, Al Quoz (nine sites total)
  • Starting price: AED 150 per month for an 11 sq ft locker
  • Unit range: 11–300 sq ft
  • Climate: Mostly ambient; limited climate-controlled rooms available
  • Access: Monday–Saturday 9:00am–6:00pm; Sunday closed
  • Contact: 055 986 4837

Green Sky is the strongest fit if your budget is tight and you are storing goods that tolerate Dubai’s ambient heat, or if you live in Al Qusais or Umm Ramool and want a nearby site. It is the wrong choice for sensitive furniture or documents unless you can secure one of the climate-controlled rooms and confirm the setpoints. The Sunday closure and 6pm cut-off also make it unsuitable for anyone who needs evening or weekend access.

14. Dubai Self Storage Solutions

Dubai Self Storage Solutions operates from Warehouse 23, Al Asayel Street, opposite Al Ahli Driving School, in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3. It publishes a simple price ladder: a 10 sq ft locker at AED 100 a month, 20 sq ft at AED 200, 30 sq ft at AED 300, 40 sq ft at AED 400 and 50 sq ft at AED 500. The facility has 24/7 CCTV and controlled access, and it handles personal, household, furniture, business, stock and document storage.

The entry price is among the lowest in the Al Quoz cluster, and the linear pricing makes it easy to estimate the cost of a small unit without a quote. The facility is not marketed as fully climate-controlled, so it is better suited to goods that do not require a humidity-controlled environment. The operator emphasises controlled access and regular security checks rather than a published temperature specification.

  • Location: Warehouse 23, Al Asayel Street, Al Quoz Industrial Area 3
  • Starting price: AED 100 per month for 10 sq ft
  • Unit range: 10–50 sq ft published; larger units by enquiry
  • Climate: Not published as fully climate-controlled
  • Access: Controlled access; confirm hours before booking
  • Contact: +971 56 706 9627

This facility suits budget-conscious renters who need a small locker for boxes, luggage or documents and do not need a premium climate specification. It is a practical first storage unit for a student or a resident clearing a wardrobe. It is not the right choice for leather furniture, artwork or anything that needs verified humidity control, and the access hours should be confirmed because they are not published as 24/7.

15. Boxit Storage

Boxit is an on-demand storage service rather than a traditional self-access facility. It operates from Dubai Industrial City and offers storage across the seven emirates, with a model that lets you store individual items or small temporary units rather than committing to a fixed room. Pricing starts from around AED 185 a month, and the service is managed through an app. Packing, pickup and delivery are available for an additional charge.

The appeal is flexibility. If you have a few pieces of furniture or a small number of boxes and you do not want the commitment of a monthly unit, Boxit’s per-item or small-unit model can be cheaper than renting a full room. The trade-off is that you are not getting a private, accessible unit in the same way as an Al Quoz self-storage facility, and the on-demand model works best when you do not need frequent access.

  • Location: Dubai Industrial City (Warehouse P2, Block F)
  • Starting price: From AED 185 per month
  • Model: On-demand storage; packing and pickup available at extra cost
  • Coverage: Dubai and the wider UAE
  • Contact: 800 26948

Boxit is a reasonable fit for a temporary downsizing, a few items in transit, or a small business that needs overflow space without a long lease. It is a weaker fit if you need to visit your items regularly, because the on-demand model is built around collection and delivery rather than self-access. Confirm the collection and redelivery charges before comparing its monthly rate with a self-storage unit.

What to Check Before you Commit?

Price per square foot is the least useful number on its own. Four variables change the real monthly cost and the practical experience: the climate specification, the access model, what the contract includes, and how you will reach the unit.

On climate, a published range of 20–25°C with relative humidity under 55 per cent is the benchmark for furniture, documents, artwork and electronics. HEPA filtration is a further step and matters for allergy sufferers and fine-art storage. A facility that publishes no numbers is not necessarily unsuitable, but you should treat the claim as unverified until you see the specification.

On access, self-access means you hold the key or code and can enter without an appointment. Valet storage means the company holds your items and brings them back on request, usually within a defined lead time. Self-access suits anyone who needs to retrieve items regularly; valet suits anyone who wants the storage facility out of their weekly routine.

On contract, most Dubai operators offer month-to-month terms with no minimum. Annual contracts typically reduce the monthly rate by 8–20 per cent and may bundle a free first month, pickup or insurance. Check what happens to the rate after the promotional period and whether VAT is included in the quoted figure.

On insurance, contents cover is rarely included by default. Some operators bundle it on annual plans; others leave the risk with you and limit their own liability. If your stored goods are worth more than AED 5,000, the policy limit matters more than the monthly rent.
